The DNA of SPO
This is all about the people who make St. Peter-Ording what it is.
The residents of SPO are the DNA of this wonderful place. To highlight this and promote it more effectively together, we launched a call for submissions in 2022 and asked SPO residents to tell us who St. Peter-Ording’s everyday heroes are.
We asked: Who makes everyday life in St. Peter-Ording more colorful and diverse, and who stands up for this town and its residents?
And what can we say? The response to this call was overwhelming! So many different and unique everyday heroes were nominated.
From the many everyday heroes mentioned, six were ultimately selected. Since then, we’ve held discussions, planned projects, taken photos, and filmed videos.

"Everyday Heroes" was a very special project for us, too—and so much more than just a job. We got to meet some wonderful local people and really had a lot of fun!
