Our Erlebnis-Hus is a place where children, teens, adults, and families come together. It’s a place where playful experiences, spending time together, and discovery tours take center stage.

The building has four floors and is surrounded by a large outdoor playground.

A Spiele-Hus, a Daddel-Hus, a restaurant, a skate park, and lots of great activities and events await you.

Our Erlebnis-Hus invites young and old alike to play, run around, and get creative together.

Here at the Spiele-Hus, you’ll find a 300-square-meter indoor playground, games as far as the eye can see, a cooking and baking station, and many other great activities to discover. Nowhere else in St. Peter-Ording will you find more laughter and joy—we promise!

Please note: Socks must be worn inside the Spiele-Hus. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and older may enter without an adult if they provide proof of age.

Daddel-Hus

A new gathering place for games, fun, and spending time together has opened at the Erlebnis-Hus—our Daddel-Hus!

If you want to test your skills at foosball or just play a relaxed game of pool with your friends or family, then the Daddel-Hus is the perfect place for you.

Or would you rather play air hockey? Here, the choice is yours.

The Daddel-Hus’s hours of operation follow those of the Spiele-Hus.

47 Meters of Thrills

Outdoor Slide

Another highlight that’s sure to make kids’ hearts race is our slide, which is more than 47 meters long and takes you from a height of 20 meters down to the outdoor playground on the ground floor in a matter of seconds.

The slide is open to all ages (ages 6 and up).

Outdoor Area

On the playground surrounding the Erlebnis-Hus, you'll find a wide variety of activities:

Sandbox with play equipment
Sand, water, and mud play area
Skate park*

*Skateboards and helmets can be reserved and rented at the Adventure Shop. They will then be picked up at the Spiele-Hus.

Viewing platforms

From our observation decks on the upper levels of the Erlebnis-Hus, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the sea, the beach, the stilt houses, the salt marshes, the Erlebnis-Promenade, and all the way to the lighthouse "Westerhever".

You’ll also find a viewing platform right on the dike, from which you can marvel at the unique natural surroundings.

On a Discovery Tour

Big Five Safari

Take a ride along the Adventure Promenade in our Safari electric vehicles. There are puzzles to solve at five stations along the way. It’s the perfect tour to learn even more about the Wadden Sea and its inhabitants.

We have now completed two years of construction

It’s been a long time since our employees from the municipal maintenance yard erected the construction sign for the Erlebnis-Hus at the end of the new Erlebnis-Promenade in the local district "Bad"—back then, in 2021, it was still known by the project name “Familientreffpunkt.”

After a two-year construction phase, a unique building with spectacular architecture made of wood (Siberian larch), concrete, and glass now stands next to this sign at Fritz-Wischer-Str. 1.

Spiele-Hus | Restrooms

Paid parking is available nearby at the parking lot by the Strandklinik St. Peter-Ording and at the Bermeparkplatz near Südstrand.

The front-row parking spaces are available for a fee, and there are two charging stations for electric cars.
You can reach the Erlebnis-Hus directly via the adjacent nature trail.

This parking lot can be used free of charge with a valid parking permit.

Bicycle racks are also available at the Erlebnis-Hus.

In the parking lot near the Strandklinik, in the first row of parking spaces, there is an electric charging station capable of charging two vehicles at the same time. From there, the Erlebnis-Hus is within walking distance via the nature trail.

The Erlebnis-Hus is part of the Erlebnis-Promenade in the local district "Bad". Themed playgrounds, fitness trails, rest areas, and a nature experience area invite visitors to linger on the Erlebnis-Promenade.
