Fishing in Eiderstedt

If you’re interested in fishing, Eiderstedt is the perfect place for you, as there are various bodies of water on the peninsula where you can fish. You can find an overview of fishing spots at the North Frisia District Anglers’ Association

You’ll need a fishing permit, which can also be issued for a few days of fishing during your North Sea vacation. You can obtain a fishing permit at the Eiderstedt Municipal Office, as well as at the Garding Tourist Information Office and the Tönning Tourist Information Office.

The Eider and Treene rivers are home to pike, eels, and sea trout, and in waters with access to the North Sea, you may also find the occasional salmon and sea trout.
