If you want to play beach volleyball on vacation, the beach at St. Peter-Ording is the perfect spot!

The beach, which is 12 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide, offers plenty of space for a game with friends or family. The soft, fine sand in SPO is perfect for playing.

Volleyball courts are available at all swimming areas in St. Peter-Ording. Forgot your ball? No problem—the lifeguards have balls and nets available to borrow. And everyone can join in. So get out of that beach chair and join the game!

Anyone who's ever been here in the sand will tell you how awesome it is to play here and dig around in the sand.

Beach Volleyball Event in SPO

ROCK the BEACH – July 31 – August 2, 2026

After a hiatus of several years, beach volleyball is returning to the legendary beach at St. Peter-Ording!

The national beach volleyball series “ROCK the BEACH” will once again transform the event grounds on the Ording beach section from July 31 to August 2, 2026, into a unique sporting venue and deliver that ultimate beach-life vibe. Look forward to a festival atmosphere, after-show parties, and, of course, beach volleyball at its finest!
