Many places on the peninsula are ideal for a day trip, where you can get a first impression and discover new favorite spots. The lighthouse "Westerhever" and the "Eidersperrwerk" (flood barrier) are among the most popular routes. By bike, you can easily explore the region, cover a lot of ground along the dike, and discover some special spots along the way.

With a clear plan for the day, it’s best to include a scenic viewpoint and a stop for a treat. The larger towns, such as Garding, Tönning, Friedrichstadt, and St. Peter-Ording, are perfect for strolling; the paths leading there are lined with nature, culture, and discoveries.
