DRLG Bands for Young Swimmers

The DLRG wristbands offer a great way to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach with the whole family. Labeled with the parents’ personal information, the wristbands can be easily worn by children on their wrists, helping to reunite them with their families. This way, the family can be notified at any time if a child happens to get lost on the beach.

On June 19, 2026, we’ll once again begin distributing the wristbands at the beach lifeguard stations on our stilt houses along the beaches in St. Peter-Ording.

Special note: The wristbands can be used during multiple beach visits, including at many other beaches along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts. Ideal for frequent beach vacationers in Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, the wristbands can be returned to the beach rescue station at the end of your vacation if they are no longer needed.

In St. Peter-Ording and Eiderstedt, a colorful program featuring a wide variety of events awaits you and your family—from exploring the mudflats and participating in rallies together to cool arts-and-crafts activities at the Spiele-Hus and theater performances at the Dünen-Hus.

And there’s plenty going on at the beach, too: In July and August, your kids can let off steam by building sandcastles and digging in the sand together, get colorful body paint applied, or join in on family beach workouts with a view of the sea.
